A NOTE FROM YOURS GENERALLY...

Oi oi my little spring lambkins,
 How are you? I've been asked to write you all a note, seems news is coming in thick and fast from the trenches and buzzing from the front line, who can keep up? Japan! Fukshima! Gadaffi! Charlie Sheen? Save Hastings Pier! Tsunami! Earthquakes! The anti-everything march! Lets make pizza not nuclear power...Scary times...And so in the name of books, booze and boogie-woogie please pass this info around the class and lets get some BCB shenanigans brewing...

March came in like a lion and i hope it will go out like a lamb. Tomorrow BCBer's are meeting BCB DJ's Carbo & Hydrate to take a sound system down to meeting point NUMBER 13 on the EASTERN END of the EMBANKMENT if you wish to all join the peaceful march with fellow BCBers head there for around 10ish. i hear the legendary Red Jen will be performing too....

JAPAN! 
Also tomorrow afternoon a crew of wicked poets are gathering for The Japan Fund, a spoken word fundraiser for the victims of the Japan Tsunami. Superstars like Inua Ellams + Pete the Temp + William Stopha + Alex Gwyther + Christian Watson + Fiona Bevan + Paul Cree from the Rubix Collective + Robert Auton. With DJ Able and Dan Simpson as compere. Tickets are £6/£5 - all proceeds go towards the British Red Cross Relief Effort.2-6PM THE OLD QUEENS HEAD PUB / 44 ESSEX ROAD / LONDON / N1

BCB 'SAVE HASTINGS PIER!' 
Next Saturday! We have our fundraising extravaganza of spoken word and music. Poets, Authors, Musicians, Artists & DJ's are gathering to raise money to 'SAVE HASTING PIER!' Saturday April 2nd. The Brass Monkey. Hastings. 3pm 'til very late! Killer line-up featuring sizzling sets from local talent, Hastings legends, Brighton's literati and London's Book Club Boutique all-stars! Following the recent publication of Salena Godden's 'Under The Pier' by Nasty Little Press, we couldn't go lamenting the good old days of Hastings Pier without trying to help. Please help us spread the word, WE SEEK DONATIONS and cool raffle prizes, signed books, memorabilia, signed albums, art etc...Come! Get involved! Facebook it!
